Gasthof Zum Breitenborn in Masserberg

Very good home-style cooking in the Thuringian style, excellent cuisine. Nice family business, friendly and always a little joke on the lips. Really to feel good. We were thrilled and can warmly recommend the restaurant

I was on a short break in Masserberg with my sister. According to the good reviews, we consciously booked the "Zum Breitenborn" inn. We were not disappointed. Our room with a balcony was very comfortable and clean. The boss, Mr. Oehrlein, gave us a very warm welcome. The boss cooks himself, a very fine Thuringian cuisine !!!!! He kept asking whether everything was okay and we still needed something. I think we were the last boarding guests before the restaurants were closed again due to Corona. We are so grateful that we were able to enjoy a few very nice relaxed days and wish Mr. Oehrlein and his team all the best, especially a speedy reopening. We would definitely like to come back to Masserberg again. Stay healthy!!! We can recommend this pension 100%.

Super tasty and very friendly hospitality

As my wife and I 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️ had promised, we not only stopped at the "Zum Breitenborn" inn but also stayed at the guesthouse. In a very nice room with a balcony and a wonderful view. Many thanks to the Oehrlein family and the team for the nice, friendly reception and service, the cozy room and the excellent and varied menu. We felt very comfortable. It was very nice to experience autumn in Masserberg in the Thuringian Forest with its many sides. ‼ ️. 🟢We ​​🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ from Mühlhausen in Thuringia💚 would like to take this opportunity to extend a warm welcome to Mr. Oehrlein and his team at the "Zum Breitenborn" inn for the very good and tasty food that was prepared with a lot of love, the good ones Drinks and friendliness, thank you. But especially that we got 2 places on July 26th, 2020. The reason for the stop was my birthday, which we wanted to celebrate in Masserberg. After 4 unsuccessful attempts in Masserberg, we got 2 more places in the inn "Zum Breitenborn" while maintaining the distances! My wife and I would like to thank you very much for this hospitality. We can highly recommend the inn and we'll be back soon. 🙋🙋‍♂️

Well - everything so-so. Fish half done. After a complaint comes back into the pan - now it's hard. Sorry or goodwill - none of them. The second meal (game) is ok. The wines are ok. All in all, the visit leaves a stale aftertaste.

Very nice inn. Very good tasty food. The boss is very friendly and takes care of his guests. We stayed here. The rooms were ok. The breakfast was served (due to the corona), everything was plentiful and fresh from the butcher (the sausage). We could park and load the bikes in the garage.

Gastronomy at its best! Since our children really wanted to eat dumplings, two children's portions were made from one adult portion. Then the chef (?) Came to see if they needed more sauce. This is service! I had a super delicious Thuringian Rostbrätel that deserves its name. Very well pickled, not just steak with onions. In addition, very friendly service. We loved it. We recommend!
